Over 1.6 million working days are being lost as a result of manual handling injuries every year, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has reported.

Manual handling injuries can affect any person lifting, pulling or pushing heavy objects. They are a form of musculoskeletal disorder (MSD), a term which describes any injury, damage or disorder of the body’s joints or tissues in the upper and lower limbs or the back.

By law, workers must be given thorough manual handling training by their employer to ensure that all heavy objects are being handled correctly and all safety procedures followed.

If you have sustained an injury as a result of not being given the correct manual handling training at work and need legal representation, we can help. Give us a call on 0800 028 2060 or visit our dedicated website www.repetitive-straininjury.co.uk for more information.
